PURPOSE
The Production Associate will support the operations department with the machining of valve components, assembly and testing of valves, shipping & receiving and warehouse operations. Additionally, the Production Associate will assist with tumble deburring, laser marking and contribute to maintaining an efficient and accurate inventory management system through cycle counts and material pulls for BOMs.
This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, including CUI, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Machining Support
- Assist with machining operations as needed, ensuring efficient production and maintaining quality standards.
- Tumble deburr valve components to remove sharp edges and improve surface finish.
Valve Assembly & Testing
- Assist with assembly of valves and mechanical components according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
- Assist with functional and pressure tests on valves to ensure conformance to quality and performance standards.
- Assist with troubleshooting and rework of assemblies as necessary to meet specifications.
Warehouse Operations
- Receive deliveries of valve components, inspect them for accuracy, and verify against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and assist with regular stock audits.
- Pull inventory parts for Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support the assembly and machining processes.
- Package and ship completed valves and components, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and attached. Maintain an organized warehouse, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and rotation of materials.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in accordance with DFARs and the handling of CUI / NNPI.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
- 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, machining, assembly, or warehouse role preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand technical drawings or work instructions.
- Experience with tumble deburring, laser marking, or other finishing processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with cycle counting and warehouse inventory management is a plus.
- Forklift certification or willingness to be trained.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and effective teamwork skills.
