PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Obtain health history and perform in-office exams, as well as hospital consults
-
Order/interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests

Formulate and implement prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care plans
-
Manage normal labor and conducts delivery
-
Report deviations from normal labor to physician(s)

Manage post-delivery stage
-
Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems
-
Document all patient information and care provided, patient/family responses, and medication dispensed or prescribed
-
Obtain new patient records, previous test results, and other records required
-
Follows organizational policies and procedures
-
Contain strict confidentiality
REQUIREMENTS:

Master of Science in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Three or more years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife (preferred).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Certification as a Nurse Midwife with licensure to work in the State of Tennessee

Valid DEA licensure
