Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across different areas of the facility
- Use specialized equipment for floor care such as buffing machines and floor polishers to maintain pristine surfaces
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks like restroom sanitation, window washing, and carpet cleaning to uphold health standards
- Assist with custodial maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and ensuring supplies are stocked
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support facility maintenance by reporting any damages or issues requiring further attention
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and supply inventory
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning procedures
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Knowledge of safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety
