Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing tools like OpenTable or similar reservation systems.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations.
- Clear tables, bussing as needed to maintain cleanliness and readiness of the dining area.
- Assist with opening or closing duties such as cash handling, POS reconciliation, and sanitation tasks to uphold restaurant standards.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and cash handling.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction.
