About Binaytara
Binaytara is a global nonprofit advancing equity in cancer care through education, research, advocacy, and direct patient services. We organize nearly 60 CME-accredited oncology conferences each year, operate the OncoBlast gamified learning platform, and manage the Binaytara Cancer Clinic in Janakpur, Nepal—the only dedicated cancer center in Madhesh Province, serving over 6 million people.
Position Summary
Binaytara is seeking an Implementation Scientist to join our implementation science research department and lead applied research projects that support cancer care delivery innovations in the U.S. and globally. This position is ideal for a dynamic researcher with strong grant-writing skills and a passion for translating science into action and impact.
The successful candidate will oversee implementation science initiatives that improve access to evidence-based oncology care, especially in low-resource settings, and secure funding to support those initiatives through research-informed proposals and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate implementation science studies in support of Binaytara’s mission to reduce cancer care disparities.
- Identify research priorities aligned with organizational goals and global health needs.
- Lead the development of high-quality grant proposals to government agencies, foundations, and other funders.
- Collaborate with program teams in Nepal and the U.S. to pilot and scale cancer care delivery innovations.
- Conduct research on barriers to care, treatment adherence, education uptake, and systems-level interventions.
- Evaluate outcomes and reach of educational platforms (e.g., OncoBlast) and continuing medical education initiatives.
- Develop compelling impact narratives based on research findings to support donor engagement and reporting.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to research capacity-building efforts at Binaytara.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication and represent Binaytara at relevant academic and professional forums.
Qualifications
- PhD or DrPH in Implementation Science, Public Health, Health Services Research, or related field.
- Record of peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations.
- Demonstrated experience conducting applied implementation research.
- Proven success in grant writing and securing competitive research funding.
- Familiarity with implementation science frameworks (e.g., CFIR, RE-AIM, PRISM).
- Strong writing, analytical, and project management skills.
- Understanding of healthcare systems in both high-resource and low-resource settings; South Asia experience is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically (8-10 times per year) and internationally 1-2 times per year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cancer care delivery or oncology-focused research.
- Experience evaluating CME or digital education programs.
- Peer-reviewed publications in implementation science, global health, or related fields.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
