About BeaconKalamazoo
Beacon Kalamazoo provides 24/7 emergency care and a Level II Trauma Center. We deliver care for serious life-threatening injuries/illnesses, and your everyday health needs, including labor and delivery. We offer specialty care for heart/vascular disease, lung and sleep disorders, mental health conditions, and women’s health. We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratorytherapyand rehabilitation therapy services.
WhatYou’llDo
As aPatient CareAssistant,under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures,youmay be assigned a variety of duties designed toassistwith the direct care of the patient. This may include assisting patients with activities of daily living and supporting nurses in completing orders andlocatingshared equipment within the hospital.You will providetimelyand efficient completion of these tasks.Interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate effectively and relate politely to patients,visitorsand fellow staff members.
