Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing pleadings and discovery requests with criminal courts.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft legal documents, including affidavits, declarations, and petitions
- Manage and organize client files and documents using document management systems
- Maintain accurate records of case status and deadlines
- Maintain attorney calendar for hearings
- Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and government agencies to ensure timely and accurate communication
- Assist Immigration paralegal with immigration cases
Experience:
- Previous experience working as an immigration and/or criminal paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department
- Proficient in legal drafting and proofreading
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management
- Familiarity with administrative tasks related to immigration filings
