Property Maintenance Assistant

We are a small, locally owned property management company in Midtown Memphis, and we’re looking for a dependable person to help keep our short-term rental homes running smoothly.
This is a great job for someone who likes working independently, having a flexible day, and staying busy without being stuck at a desk.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive to various properties throughout Midtown Memphis
- Inspect homes after they have been cleaned to ensure they are guest-ready
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing batteries, and tightening loose screws or hinges
- Communicate with our cleaning team if any issues need attention
- Send simple, pre-written messages to guests using our property management apps (training provided)
- Report larger maintenance issues that require a professional repair company
- Occasionally assist with after-hours issues (additional pay provided for each occurrence)
What You’ll Need:
- A valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle
- A smartphone for texting and taking pictures
- To be dependable and able to work on your own
- Good attention to detail
Schedule:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) that offers flexibility. Once you’ve completed your maintenance tasks for the day, you’ll only need to be available for occasional property issues and to send pre-written guest messages from your personal cell phone.
Pay & Benefits:
- $550 per week
- Paid mileage ($0.70 per mile)
- Quarterly bonuses
- Extra pay for after-hours calls
