Traveling Senior Audit Administrator
Location: Field-based / Travel Required (up to 75%) Status: Full-Time, Exempt/Salaried
Are you a sharp, detail-driven inventory and audit professional who thrives on the road? We're looking for a Traveling Senior Audit Administrator to lead company-wide inventory control and audit programs across our retail locations — protecting our assets, sharpening our financial controls, and driving operational excellence from store to store.
Reporting directly to the VP of Compliance & Standards, you'll be the expert in the room: planning and executing complex audits, digging into inventory variances, and delivering recommendations that senior leadership actually acts on. This is a role built for someone who enjoys independence, variety, and the chance to make a visible impact across the business.
Required: A valid, current in-state driver's license. This role involves extensive travel (up to 75%), and a valid license is mandatory for consideration.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct in-depth inventory audits at retail locations nationwide
- Analyze inventory, sales, and rent-to-own transactions to catch risks and control gaps before they become problems
- Investigate variances, uncover root causes, and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Advise district and store management on inventory best practices and corrective action plans
- Manage physical cycle counts and train store teams on process and controls
- Serve as the company's go-to subject matter expert on inventory control and audit methodology
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, supply chain, and loss prevention
- Contribute to company-wide inventory policy and internal control standards
- Step in for the Director of Inventory as needed, and take on cross-functional fraud investigations
What You Bring — Qualifications
- Advanced inventory management and auditing expertise, with a solid grasp of internal controls and operational processes
- Sharp analytical judgment — the ability to break down complex operational and financial data and turn it into sound, independent recommendations
- Confidence to make the call — proven ability to exercise independent judgment on audit findings, risk assessments, and process improvements without needing every decision signed off
- Strong communicator, comfortable writing formal audit reports and talking through findings with everyone from store staff to senior management
- Solid math fundamentals and intermediate proficiency with MS Office
- Familiarity with inventory software and systems
- A valid, current in-state driver's license — non-negotiable, as this role lives on the road
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a strong plus
- A genuine willingness and ability to travel by any conventional mode, extensively and on a regular basis
Schedule & Classification
- This is an exempt, salaried position (not eligible for overtime)
- Expect a minimum 5-day workweek, with occasional weekend days
- Travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays and travel during varied hours
- This role cannot be performed remotely — you'll be moving from location to location on a regular, ongoing basis
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs; reasonable accommodations available
