We are a well-established sushi restaurant looking for energetic, organized, high-performing servers who take pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is not an entry-level position. We pay for excellence, and our top servers consistently earn $300–$650 per day.
What You’ll Do
- Provide professional, anticipatory service in a busy sushi dining room
- Thoroughly know the menu, including fish varieties, preparation styles, specialty rolls, and sake/wine pairings
- Accurately take and ring in orders on Toast POS
- Maintain high standards of table presentation, timing, and pace of service
- Educate guests on specials, recommendations, and dietary accommodations (allergies, gluten-free, etc.)
- Work efficiently as part of a tight team while keeping a composed, guest-focused demeanor under pressure
- Handle cash, credit, and tip-outs accurately and honestly
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of server experience in sushi, Japanese (or high-volume restaurant)
- Strong menu knowledge and the ability to speak confidently about sushi and Japanese cuisine
- Professional appearance and polished communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Ability to stay calm and precise during busy service periods
- Previous experience with Toast POS is preferred
- Japanese language ability is a nice to have but English is requirement
Schedule & Compensation
- Approximately 7-hour shifts
- Strong daily earnings potential: $300–$650/day (base + tips)
