Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandise Lead to oversee the visual presentation, stock management, and merchandising strategies within our retail stores. This role is vital in ensuring an engaging shopping experience that highlights our product offerings while maintaining operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for visual design, and extensive retail experience to drive sales and enhance store performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales opportunities.
- Supervise daily store operations related to merchandising, inventory control, and stock replenishment.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on visual merchandising standards, product knowledge, and store procedures.
- Oversee the setup of visual displays, including remodeling projects and interior design enhancements using schematics and visual design principles.
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock counting, material handling equipment operation, and manual handling techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols such as ladder use and heavy lifting procedures during remodeling or display setup.
- Collaborate with store management on branding initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to boost retail sales.
- Utilize Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for creating promotional materials or visual displays as needed.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients and team members to support merchandising objectives and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in retail store management or merchandising roles.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for visual design tasks.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and retail sales strategies.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for effective client communication in diverse markets.
- Familiarity with schematics, planogram implementation, interior design concepts, and remodeling processes.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as ladders or other manual tools safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards; basic math skills required for inventory management and pricing tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management and administrative responsibilities.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication skills to train staff and coordinate team efforts.
