AR Collections Specialist

J&S Mechanical is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AR Collections Specialist to join our growing team. This role supports our Accounts Receivable department by assisting in collecting payments on past-due invoices related to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers regarding outstanding and past-due invoices
- Follow up consistently to secure payments in a timely manner
- Assist AR Clerks with account updates and payment tracking
- Maintain accurate records of communication and payment activity
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide professional and courteous customer service while handling collections
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or collections preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Comfortable making outbound calls and following up on accounts
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, accounting software a plus)
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally

Schedule:
Full-time | Monday – Friday 7 am - 4 pm
