JOB DESCRIPTION
SHOP LOCATED IN BYESVILLE, OHIO
Seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our established company and growing team.
This position is great for a Mechanic with 2-4 years’ experience, travel required to the South, East Coast and MidWest.
Valid Driver’s License required with clean Motor Vehicle Report required. CDL a plus!
This is a Direct-Hire/Permanent Role; Not Temporary or Contract
Responsibilities
- Evaluate equipment for needed repairs. Troubleshoot and isolate mechanical problems; implement corrective actions as appropriate
- Must be able to diagnose and repair problems related to hydraulic components, steering systems, engines etc.
- Performs repair or preventative maintenance on electrical, heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, etc.
- Ability to Weld and/or fabricate necessary parts for repair of equipment is a plus
- Ensures proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performed
- Ensures that all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, timely and cost-efficient manner
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and ensures the timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection
- Exposure to Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks or Refuse equipment considered an asset
Requirements
- 3+ years mechanic experience
- Experience with heavy duty trucks and construction equipment
- Must have own tools
- If a CDL Driver, DOT Medical Card required
- MA Hoisting License (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred)
Pay is commensurate with experience
