Banquet Captain

Exeter Inn, a boutique hotel newly managed by Greenwich Hospitality Group, is looking for a detail-oriented and energetic Banquet Captain to join our team.
As a Banquet Captain, you’ll oversee the event service team, coordinate with the kitchen, and ensure every guest experience is exceptional. You’ll be the point person for ensuring our service is seamless, timely, and professional.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and motivate a team of banquet servers and bartenders
- Execute event setups, timelines, and service according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Communicate clearly with the culinary team and event planners
- Maintain the highest level of guest service and satisfaction
- Keep events running smoothly from start to finish
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a Banquet Captain or similar leadership role in F&B
- Hands-on leadership style and team-first mentality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences
Qualifications:
- Prior banquet or restaurant leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods
