Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Handle food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Clover or Square to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations
- Uphold food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry, with strong coffee knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Clover or Square for efficient sales processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to perform serving duties confidently while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures
