Position Summary
Wilson Building Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Field Supervisor to support the Construction Superintendent in coordinating field operations and delivering projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
This position will oversee Field Leads, hold them accountable for their responsibilities, and ensure that field crews have the direction, information, materials, equipment, and support needed to complete assigned work. Although WBS primarily performs civil infrastructure work, this position may support a variety of construction projects.
The ideal candidate is an experienced field leader who communicates proactively, uses sound judgment, completes required documentation, embraces technology, and takes ownership of assigned projects from mobilization through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Construction Superintendent in managing daily field operations across assigned projects.
- Oversee Field Leads and hold them accountable for crew performance, productivity, documentation, safety, and quality.
- Coordinate daily and weekly work schedules, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and site logistics.
- Monitor project progress, labor productivity, project costs, and schedule performance.
- Identify potential delays, risks, or field issues and communicate recommended solutions before they impact the project.
- Maintain clear communication among field crews, Field Leads, customers, inspectors, Project Managers, subcontractors, and the office team.
- Enforce accurate employee time reporting, including documentation required for Certified Payroll.
- Manage project tools, equipment, materials, and inventory.
- Complete and review daily reports, time records, photographs, safety documentation, delivery tickets, and other required project paperwork.
- Utilize construction technology, mobile applications, email, and digital reporting systems to document and communicate project progress.
- Review project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules before and during construction.
- Help ensure work complies with project requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, and applicable regulations.
- Participate in project startup, ongoing coordination, inspections, punch-list completion, and project closeout.
- Perform other construction management duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous construction field leadership experience as a Field Supervisor, Foreman or similar leadership role.
- Experience overseeing civil, roadway, utility, infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise crews and hold Field Leads accountable for results.
- Working knowledge of construction scheduling, labor productivity, cost control, inventory management, and site logistics.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to complete accurate and timely reports and project documentation.
- Proficient using smartphones, tablets, computers, Microsoft Office, email, and digital construction management tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience loading, securing, transporting, and unloading construction equipment and trailers between job sites, including a strong understanding of proper load securement and transportation safety practices.
- Experience working on municipal, county, TxDOT, or other public infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Certified Payroll and prevailing wage documentation.
- OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or other construction safety certifications.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and customers.
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology or a related field, but equivalent construction leadership experience is valued.

- Improve communication between the field and office by providing timely updates and identifying issues early.
- Keep assigned projects organized, productive, and on schedule.

Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work primarily in active construction environments.
- Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Availability to work extended hours or weekends when required by project schedules.
- Ability to travel between WBS project locations.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
