Job Description
Grinding Operator (Entry‑Level Manufacturing)
About the Role
We are seeking a Grinding Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this entry‑level role, you will be responsible for cleaning, deburring, grinding, and polishing forged metal parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This is a hands‑on position ideal for candidates interested in manufacturing, metalworking, or skilled trades.
What You’ll Do
Clean, deburr, polish, and grind forged metal parts using hand‑held power tools
Operate buffing and grinding wheels to smooth edges and surfaces
Inspect parts for quality, surface finish, and defects
Follow written and verbal work instructions, safety rules, and quality standards
Handle and move parts or containers weighing up to 25 lbs
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED preferred
Entry‑level experience welcome (manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus but not required)
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
Ability to read and understand simple instructions and work orders
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, percentages)
Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Regular use of hands and fingers for handling parts and tools
Frequent reaching with hands and arms
Ability to sit, with occasional standing and walking
Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
Close vision and color vision required
