Our client is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join their leadership team.
This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $60,000 plus commission, based on your experience.
Some of your responsibilities as Journeyman Electrician will include:
- Supervising/coordinating activities of crews on job sites
- Revieing blueprints and plans
- Troubleshooting issues
- Enforcing compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Keeping detailed records
- Working with project managers
- Mentoring junior electricians
- Meeting with customers to discuss project needs
To qualify for Journeyman Electrician, you will need at least 4 years of residential construction wiring experience as well as:
- State of Iowa Journeyman Electrician license
- 1 year of experience in electrical supervision or a similar role
- Understanding of local/national electrical codes
- Strong ability to manage many projects and teams
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Able to read/interpret blueprints
- Basic computer operations and software proficiency
- Ability to type 35+ words per minute
