Job Summary
The right candidate for the Development Director position should be able to successfully develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving and special events. This involves identifying and cultivating major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation donors. Planning and executing special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization is also a vital part of the role. The Development Director must work closely with the Head of School and Board of Directors to develop fundraising goals and strategies that align with the organization’s mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Present fundraising plans and performance metrics to the Board of Directors while working with the Head of School to ensure that fundraising activities are aligned with the organization’s overall strategic plan.
- Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed. This involves tracking donor engagement and retention rates, analyzing revenue streams, and making data-driven decisions that help the organization achieve its fundraising goals.
- Provide a wide variety of skilled logistical, administrative, clerical and data management support to the CCDS administration, ensuring all programs and events run efficiently. Ensures a high quality of service is provided to all volunteers and other external and internal customers.
- Manage customer and campaign information utilizing Donor Perfect/Constant Contact systems accurately, timely and completely. Understands and interprets data to ensure that it is complete and accurate, identifying and addressing any gaps in a timely and self-directed manner.
- Conduct research as assigned, organizes event supplies and maintains inventory tracker. Leads event set-up and tear-down.
- Recruit, orient, and train event volunteers as needed. Manage volunteers both leading up to the event and on event day.
- Responsible for accurate processing of donations.
- Proactively ensure timely communication with internal and external partners and customers, supporting collaboration in account management and activities to achieve shared goals.
- Procure necessary resources and may solicit in-kind donations.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary ranging from $50,000-$60,000 (based on experience) plus an opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses.
