Overview
Join our team at Bonita Coffee Company as a Lead Barista, where your passion for coffee and exceptional customer service will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this role, you'll craft delicious lattes, provide excellent customer service, and ensure a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. In addition, you will be responsible for opening/closing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with consistency and efficiency.
- Operate POS systems such as Square.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including espresso stations and seating areas
- Manage cash register transactions with accuracy, including basic math calculations for sales and change
- Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry with strong coffee knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems like Square for efficient sales processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cashiering, retail math, and cash handling tasks
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Latte Art skills is a plus!

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
