Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including moving materials and tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to support various construction activities
- Prepare and install formwork, rebar, and concrete forms according to blueprints and schematics
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete for foundations, slabs, walls, and other structures following safety protocols
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprint specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Support masonry, roofing, stucco application, tiling, flooring installation, and other finishing work
- Follow all safety regulations related to construction workplace safety standards and procedures
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for operating tools and understanding equipment functions
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete pumping, and concrete mixing processes
- Familiarity with construction estimating concepts for material needs and project timelines
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, caulking guns, and trowels
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics
- Understanding of construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols
- Experience with metal stud framing, drywall installation (trim carpentry), restoration work or renovation projects is a plus
- Capable of operating heavy machinery or equipment such as forklifts or concrete pumps is desirable but not mandatory
