Synchrony Labs LLC is a busy, GLP-compliant preclinical research laboratory located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. We partner with medical device companies, biotechnology firms, and pharmaceutical sponsors to support preclinical testing.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented, highly organized, and motivated individual to join our team as a Preclinical Data Technician I. This entry‑level role is ideal for candidates interested in preclinical research, regulatory science, and hands‑on exposure to medical device and therapeutic development.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on accurate, well‑written procedural and regulated data documentation. Excellent time management, flexibility, careful attention to detail, and familiarity with medical and scientific terminology are essential. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and a professional, service‑oriented approach when working with internal teams and external sponsors are also required.
Physical requirements include a combination of standing and sitting, as well as wearing a lead apron for extended periods, up to eight hours at a time.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with all phases of preclinical research studies, including protocol review, procedural observation, measurements, drug and device calculations, and source document review
- Collecting, documenting, and summarizing regulated quality raw data in compliance with GLP standards for potential submission to the FDA
- Working closely with senior‑level data technicians, study directors, and study sponsors to coordinate study preparation, execution, and close‑out
- Supporting the collection, handling, documentation, and shipment of biological and laboratory samples in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements
Work Schedule
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however, schedules are driven by study needs and may include early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekend hours.
This is an entry‑level position. A bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is preferred but not required.
