Position Summary
The Kitchen Manager oversees all back-of-house operations, ensuring The Jagged Fork’s kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and consistently to deliver exceptional food quality. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality to manage the culinary team, uphold food safety standards, control costs, and foster a positive and productive kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate the back-of-house team to uphold The Jagged Fork’s standards for food preparation, consistency, and presentation.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, line execution, inventory management, ordering, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house management to deliver seamless service and a memorable guest experience.
- Monitor food costs, labor costs, and waste to meet financial targets.
- Oversee ordering and receiving of products, ensuring quality and proper storage.
- Assist in menu execution and contribute ideas for seasonal specials and improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and accountability within the kitchen staff.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen leadership experience required; experience in a high-volume breakfast or brunch concept strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with both BOH and FOH teams.
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
