The Lois Pope Pet Clinic at Tri-County Animal Rescue is seeking a compassionate, skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. Our clinic provides medical care to both shelter animals and pets in our community, ensuring that lifesaving veterinary services remain accessible while supporting the rescue efforts of Tri-County Animal Rescue.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
- Perform and assist with diagnostic tests including X-rays, bloodwork, and lab work
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed
- Monitor animals during surgery and recovery
- Prepare and maintain surgical and treatment areas
- Record accurate medical notes and maintain patient records
- Provide compassionate care and handling of animals
- Educate adopters and pet owners on basic care and post-treatment instructions
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician experience preferred (1+ years)
- Veterinary Technician certification a plus but not required
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassion for animals and commitment to animal welfare
- Experience with digital radiology and laboratory equipment preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
