Job Overview
Looking for a nurse practitioner for average of 16 encounters a day at our skilled nursing facility account in Snow Hill, NC. Hours are professional, no set time you must come in by, no set time you need to be in the building, see your patients, speak with the DON/ED, coordinate care and you are more then welcome to chart at home. The program goes live on 8/1/26 please be mindful of your time please apply only if you can start 8/1. Experience needed. Must be licensed in NC and have your DEA and NP license ready along with post acute experience.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret laboratory results.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.
- Provide health coaching to patients to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Administer treatments, including catheter care and Botulinum toxin treatment.
- Utilize aseptic techniques in all procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in nursing.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficient in conducting physical examinations and interpreting laboratory results.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management and ICD-10 coding.
- Ability to lift patients safely as needed during assessments or treatments.
- Experience in dialysis procedures is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and health coaching.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
- Competence in catheter care procedures.
