We are a growing, national property management firm seeking an experienced and motivated Leasing Manager for our 700+ apartment community in the Strongsville area in Ohio. We are looking for a driven leader who is organized, resourceful, customer-focused, and passionate about creating an exceptional resident experience while leading a successful leasing team.
Responsibilities include:
- Help the Community Manager lead, motivate, and support the leasing team to achieve leasing, occupancy, and retention goals
- oversee all leasing activities, including prospect management, apartment tours, follow-up, application processing, and lease execution
- Greet, engage, and assist prospective residents with enthusiasm and professionalism in office and on the phone
- Conduct property tours and highlight community features and apartment amenities
- Maintain detailed knowledge of apartment availability, pricing, and lease terms
- Process rental applications and lease agreements in accordance with company policies
- Monitor leasing performance and provide coaching, training, and support to team members as needed
- Focus on retention activities including lease renewals and identifying community events to foster a feeling of community
- Establish and maintain good rapport and communication with residents, vendors, staff, and other customers as needed
- Complete reports and administrative tasks as requested by the Community Manager
- Follow all policies and procedures and follow all Fair Housing guidelines
A minimum of 3+ years of apartment leasing experience is strongly preferred, along with previous leadership or supervisory experience. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the full leasing cycle, including touring, closing, follow-up, and resident retention strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong leasing experience combined with leadership abilities, including coaching and motivating a team to achieve occupancy and retention goals. This individual should thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a proven ability to build rapport with both prospective and current residents.
