This position is eligible to telework up to one (1) day a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. Under the limited supervision of the Project Director III, the Project Director II in the Project Management and Development Branch, Real Estate Services Division, is responsible for providing oversight and management of major capital outlay projects from the planning phase through the design and construction phases. The Project Director II manages the more complex and more sensitive projects, from the planning phase through the design and construction phases, in accordance with the State Administrative Manual Section 6800, California Government Code Section 14957 and 4525 et seq., Public Contract Code, Public Resource Code, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, Section 15000, Titles 19, 21, 22 and 24 utilizing all available resources, including but not limited to, State of California/DGS policies and procedures, program/project management software, Microsoft Office tools, State of California/DGS forms and templates, and other miscellaneous software/tools.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
This position may require travel.
