Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Support children during daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering, and bathroom breaks with patience and professionalism.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and interests to inform individualized support strategies.
- Engage children in play-based learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management techniques under supervision.
- Comply with mandated reporting laws and ensure all safety procedures are followed diligently to protect children at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices or willingness to learn.
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Paid for Mandatory Trainings required by state (or 60 days to obtain them after hire)
- Understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
