We are seeking a passionate and energetic Infant and Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. HOURS: 7:30 AM-12:30 PM OR 12:30PM-5:30PM
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development for infants and toddlers.
- Provide attentive care that meets each child's individual needs, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring safety at all times.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that encourage cooperation and independence.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships.
- Support child development through intentional teaching practices grounded in early childhood education principles such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
- Maintain accurate documentation of developmental progress, daily activities, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning to promote holistic growth.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is essential.
- Knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and early intervention methods.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones, standardized testing (if applicable), and special education needs is preferred.
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding children's information.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy activities is highly valued.
