Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your primary duties will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and processing transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast POS.
- Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about the menu and restaurant services.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest relations.
Skills
- Previous experience as a host/host or in food service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Background in hospitality or hotel services is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
