Compensation
Starting at $18 per hour
Position: Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch
Start date: Immediately
We are seeking a candidate who is warm, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work in a small but rapidly growing clinic environment. Ideal for someone with a passion for patient care and is comfortable with both administrative and clinical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Duties
- Draw blood and prepare samples for pickup
- Take vitals (BP, HR, SpO₂, weight, BMI)
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Initial patient information intake (medical history, medications)
- Assist with basic procedures (ECGs, PFTs, point-of-care tests)
- Administer injections and other treatments as directed
- Provide accurate documentation in the EHR
- Assist with Prior Authorizations
- Assist with follow-up instructions and patient education
General Clinic Support
- Maintain supplies and inventory
- Assist with quality and workflow improvements
- Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Contribute to a positive and patient-centered clinic culture
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- BLS or CPR/First Aid certification
- Comfortable with computers and electronic health records
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Phlebotomy experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical office and front-desk experience
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish (highly valued but not required)
- Interest in wellness, primary care, or weight-management services
