Pasadena manufacturing company is hiring a SolidWorks Designer to assist Product Development Engineer with completion of various manufacturing tasks ranging from new machinery builds to internal efficiency projects.
Company is a manufacturer of replacement parts for high speed bagging machines used in the packaging industry.
Position consists of editing and creating drawings of fabricated sheet metal and machined parts, assisting with design parameters for washdown equipment, participating in design reviews for new products, and assembling prototype parts. A mechanical background and SolidWorks experience is a must! Experience with Autocad is a plus. Works directly with engineering and production staff.
Required skills:
Minimum 3-4 years in an office environment
Must be neat and organized with an attention to detail
Proficient with MS Office and SolidWorks
Experience with 3D printers
Autocad experience is a plus
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency with drafting standards and manufacturing practices
This is a full time hourly position with benefits
Positions have a 60 day probationary period followed by direct hire
