NORMAL WORKING HOURS:
AM - Start time window could be 6:30am to 7:30am - end time 9:30am
PM - Start time of 1:30pm and end time window of 3:00pm and 4:00pm

POSITION CONCEPT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will be operating a TAC Industries Habilitation bus/van to transport assigned riders to the location that is needed.
Operates hydraulic lift (to assist those in wheelchairs on and off the van), wheelchair securement systems, and safety seats as needed.
Safety is a high priority, at times general seating assignments must be made and all discipline must be maintained with ridership.
Performs inspection of vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before and after each route. Report need for maintenance and/or repair if needed.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
Washes and cleans assigned vehicle at least once per month and as needed.
Prepares and maintains required records and reports, e.g., route sheets, attendance sheets, mileage logs, fuel logs, maintenance and repair requests, pre-trip forms.
Receives and cares for written messages, medication and other personal items for riders/parents/guardians.
Ensures records and route book are kept confidential.
Transportation record must be no more than 6 points.
Satisfactory standards with a DOT physical examination, including work related lifting test
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/GED Required
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to read and comprehend all instructions including operating rules, documents and other written communication
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Work safety to prevent on the job accidents and injuries
Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and have less than 6 points on your driver's license.
