Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our educational team in the roles of Special Education Teacher, Teacher’s Aide, and Art Teacher. These positions are vital in creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and specialists to develop and implement individualized instruction plans that foster academic growth, social-emotional development, and creative expression. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver tailored lesson plans that accommodate individual learning styles, including curriculum development for students with disabilities.
- Implement instructional modifications aligned with IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals to support students’ academic progress in areas such as literacy, math, art, and life skills.
- Utilize educational technology tools and learning software to enhance engagement and facilitate differentiated instruction.
- Conduct speech therapy sessions, behavioral therapy, or music therapy as part of a multidisciplinary approach to support student development.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, promoting a safe and respectful environment for all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and successes to foster strong home-school partnerships.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and specialists to coordinate instructional strategies and share best practices for inclusive education.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or visual/hearing impairments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of special education law, educational compliance standards, and IEP development processes.
- Proven ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners using instructional design principles and educational technology integration.
- Experience managing classrooms with behavior management techniques tailored for students with special needs.
- Background in early childhood education or preschool settings is preferred; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external specialists.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, tutoring strategies, and instructional modifications to support academic achievement across various subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and arts education.
