In this energetic role, you will assist in the completion of concrete finishing projects, ensuring smooth, level, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Your work will be vital in transforming raw materials into functional and visually appealing structures. Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete pouring, spreading, and leveling to achieve precise finishes according to project specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently for various tasks such as mixing, cutting, and finishing concrete surfaces.
- Install rebar and formwork structures following blueprint specifications to support concrete placement.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in concrete finishing, including troweling, pouring, formwork, and rebar.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects with knowledge of concrete finishing or related trades is required; training will be provided for motivated learners.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as concrete mixers and pumps.
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic carpentry skills including formwork construction and rebar installation are advantageous.
- Knowledge of concrete cutting, pouring techniques, metal stud framing, caulking, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and renovation processes is a plus.
