Job Title: Fleet Office Clerk
Summary
Processes car deals. Prepares paperwork and all documents to complete the sale and registration of vehicles. Verifies the title process for each deal while maintaining communication with the Fleet department salespeople. Also organizing and making timely deliveries of customer courtesy delivery vehicles.
Essential Duties
- Processing all new and used vehicles for registration in the state where they will be titled.
- Preparing tax and title documents.
- Submitting all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Verifying collected funds have been distributed to the correct lienholder before processing title applications.
- Checking each transaction for accuracy and completeness of the application and all paperwork.
- Signing over wholesale paid in full titles.
- Communicating with other dealers and companies for courtesy delivery appointments.
- Communicating proficiently with co-workers and leaders.
- Using time management skills to multitask effectively while processing multiple deals.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and a neat work area.
- Completing other tasks and job functions as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
- One to two years of reception/customer service experience.
- Experience with CDK is a plus but not a requirement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
