Westaff is Hiring a Production Analyst in Wallingford, CT!
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Pay Rate: $25 - $30 an hour, depending on experience
Position Overview
Seeking a Production Analyst with manufacturing experience to support production accounting, material flow accuracy, and operational data integrity within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is primarily office‑based but requires regular interaction with the production floor, including collecting data, observing processes, and supporting cycle count activities.
Production Analyst Responsibilities:
- Production Transactions — Execute goods issues, goods receipts, and material movement entries in SAP
- Process Order Reconciliation — Review variances and recommend BOM/routing adjustments
- Finished Goods Posting — Ensure accurate and timely posting for quality review and shipment
- Material Balancing — Perform monthly distillate material balances and validate system values
- Utility Tracking — Maintain monthly utility usage spreadsheets and reporting
- Cycle Counts — Participate in cycle counts, investigate variances, and identify root causes
- Production Order Monitoring — Review daily process order status and update internal databases
Production Analyst Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred — familiarity with production environments, material flow, and shop‑floor processes
- Prior SAP experience preferred; experience with any ERP system is beneficial
- Strong computer skills with comfort in data entry, analysis, and investigative problem‑solving
- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a high‑volume, fast‑paced manufacturing setting
- Willingness to enter the production floor to collect data sheets, observe cycle counts, and support operational needs
