Job Overview:
As a Data Engineer Intern at US Tiger Securities, you will work closely with our engineering and data teams to support the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about data pipelines, database management, and data visualization in a real-world financial technology environment.
You will participate in building and maintaining ETL workflows, supporting data analysis tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business needs. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about data engineering and eager to gain practical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes;
- Support the development of internal dashboards and data visualization tools;
- Help maintain and manage data integrations with various internal and external sources;
- Write basic scripts for data processing and automation tasks;
- Contribute to the design and testing of data models and schemas;
- Collaborate with team members to support ad-hoc data analysis requests;
- Document work processes, tools, and data flow diagrams.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as Pandas;
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases;
- Strong interest in data infrastructure, analytics, and engineering;
- Good problem-solving and communication skills;
- Familiarity with tools such as Django, JupyterHub, or JavaScript is a plus;
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) or data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is a bonus;
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
