Quality Technician
Reports to: Quality Lab Supervisor
Responsibilities Include:
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety procedures, including Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE); Enforce these practices, standards and rules with all employees and report all deviations immediately to the manager.
Conduct GMP inspections in all areas and ensure adherence to food safety and quality and ensure cleanliness is maintained.
Perform and sign-off on pre-operational inspections, CCP monitoring activities, end-of-production line clearance and glass breakage clearance.
Ensure Work Orders are present for all product runs and ensure they are followed on the production floor.
Perform hourly line checks and properly document results on the appropriate forms.
Ensure bottle and case codes are legible and correct.
Create and place hold tags with physical count and detailed report of incident.
Inspect incoming raw materials for quality and specification adherence.
Report all deviations from product specifications and parameters immediately to the Quality Control Manager.
Report any deficiencies that may pose a food safety threat to management as soon as they are observed.
Report unsafe work conditions to Management in real-time.
Perform other duties as required.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
Minimize risk of biological, chemical, and physical contamination by following GMPs, Allergen, and Foreign
Matter Contamination Policies.
Provide feedback to immediate supervisor on Continuous Improvement Opportunities and Identified Non-
Conformances.
Record assigned daily activities and ensure records are legible, clear, concise, and accurate.
Keep the working area clean and follow cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Report any pest sighting throughout the facility.
Report any suspicious threat concerning product adulteration or contamination.
Enforce food safety and quality practices on daily activities.
What You’ll Need:
Basic math and computer skills
Speak, read, write and interpret English
Good communication skills
Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and E-Mail
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 1-year experience in the food industry and quality assurance

Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to talk and hear
Stand and sit for long periods of time
Sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Must be able to read and type reports
Ability to write, type, and use phone systems
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.83 - $21.38 per hour
