Cleveland Clinic’s i npatient pharmacy areas support distributive and clinical pharmacy services provided by staff pharmacists, clinical pharmacy specialists and pharmacy technicians, supporting 60 nursing units, 80 operating rooms, 4 PACUs, and 10 C ath labs, accounting for over 1,440 inpatient beds. As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital link in moving medications throughout the facility to enhance patient care. You will join a team that empowers every caregiver to make valuable contributions to patient-focused care, teaching and research activities. This team embraces a positive attitude and respects and supports one another to provide the best care possible.
A caregiver in this position work s day/evening shift. The rotation is three weeks of days shift 6 : 3 0am— 3 : 0 0pm followed by one week on second shift 2:00pm—10:30pm and every third weekend.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding.
Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training.

It is required, within 18 months from the date of hire: Must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) AND Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
