American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Infusion position at an outpatient infusion center in Charlotte, NC, requiring pediatric oncology/hematology experience and APHON certification.

Outpatient infusion center setting with 25 infusion rooms and 2 procedure rooms, typically running at 50–60% capacity daily

Pediatric patient population receiving infusions and treatments for Hematology, Oncology, Neuro Oncology, GI, and Endocrine conditions

RN-to-patient ratio of 1:3

EMR: Epic; IV pump: Alaris; medication dispensing: Omnicell; monitors: GE
-
10-hour day shifts, 0730–1800; department also utilizes 8- and 9-hour shifts depending on needs

40 standard hours per week; scheduled days during the week will vary

Schedule is set on a 6-week cycle

Every 4th–5th weekend rotation required
-
No on-call or call-back requirements

No floating required

Department support includes CNAs, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, IV/VAT team, and AP providers in-house during open hours, plus RT available 24/7

Active NC or compact RN license required

Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and APHON

Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric infusion nursing

Pediatric-specific infusion experience required; outpatient oncology and hematology experience strongly preferred

Candidates currently working inpatient may be considered if they have strong prior outpatient experience

Epic EMR experience required

At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-
Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Administer infusions and treatments to pediatric patients across a range of specialty diagnoses including hematology and oncology

Orientation includes facility NEO followed by 2–3 days of departmental training

A clinical interview with the unit manager is required

Holiday coverage required: 1 major and 1 minor holiday (travelers expected to work approximately 75% of holidays)

RTO is subject to manager approval

Scrub color: Navy Blue; pediatric-friendly tops are permitted but must be worn with a Navy Blue or White undershirt

Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
