OMNIQ is now hiring for a Technical Support Technician who possesses a passion for providing exceptional, service-oriented customer support and strong communication skills.
This role provides Tier 1 technical support for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, and hardware, and includes going on-site for installations, troubleshooting, and field service when needed. You will interact with customers via phone, email, remote sessions, and in person using a ticketing system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help Desk & Ticket Management: Provide Tier 1 support via phone and email. Create, track, follow up on, and resolve tickets prompt and efficiently using our ticketing system.
- Remote & On-Site Support: Schedule remote support sessions and travel to customer sites for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Low-Voltage & Field Installations: Install, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage systems, including data cabling, security systems, CCTV cameras, and related hardware.
- System Configuration: Program and configure security devices, components, and hardware.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members on group projects, installations, and technology deployments.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work overtime as business needs require.
- Service-Oriented Mindset: Strong commitment to customer satisfaction with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Operating Systems: Solid understanding of both Windows and Linux environments.
- Networking & Hardware Basics: Foundation in computer networking and basic hardware assembly/troubleshooting.
- AI Tools: Familiarity with or eagerness to leverage AI tools to research, troubleshoot, and provide faster, effective technical solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred / Plus:
- ERP Knowledge: Experience with NetSuite or Priority ERP is a strong plus.
- Specialized Hardware/Software: Experience with License Plate Recognition (LPR) & Parking Controls (Advantage).
- Low-Voltage Systems: Prior hands-on experience with CCTV, security systems, or telecommunication platforms.
- Degree/Certifications: Two-year tech-related degree, technical certification, or equivalent vocational training.
