Front Desk Receptionist (Open Dental Software a MUST)
Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental office and proficiency with Open Dental software. This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience while managing front office operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Answer and direct phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Use Open Dental software to maintain patient records and manage appointments.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and process insurance information.
- Collect copayments, payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate treatment plans and communicate financial arrangements to patients.
- Manage patient check-out procedures and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with general administrative and office support duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or front office coordinator preferred.
- Experience using Open Dental software required or strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification, and scheduling procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
