Smoke on The Water is a new craft BBQ experience in Salisbury, MA. The design is fast-casual friendly service serving up some of the best scratch side dishes, desserts, and smoked meats with a central Texas BBQ inspiration. The restaurant has a serving line that allows customers to select their scratch side dishes and the staff will slice their smoked meats in front of them by the pound. Guests will enjoy their food family style in our welcoming dining space that includes a full service bar and indoor and outdoor dining areas. Guests will also be invited to view our all wood smokers built in Texas in our adjacent smokehouse and enjoy samples of our smoked meats.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using Toast POS systems ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage tables effectively by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness throughout service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and give correct change.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and food handling guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
- Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, anticipating needs, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the guest experience.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not required; a passion for food industry standards is essential.
