JOB GOAL: Babcock High School seeks an exceptional educator and leader to serve as the Babcock Leadership Academy Instructor, a signature position responsible for developing the leadership, character, citizenship, and future readiness of students through a leadership curriculum modeled after the proven frameworks of Army JROTC Leadership Education and Training (LET I and LET II).
This position serves as the foundational step toward establishing a future National Defense Cadet Corps (NDCC) and ultimately a fully funded Army JROTC program while remaining uniquely aligned to the mission and values of Babcock Schools.
The Babcock Leadership Academy Instructor will intentionally develop students' durable skills, leadership capacity, ethical decision-making, communication abilities, and civic responsibility while preparing them for success in the Three E's:

Students will engage in leadership laboratories, service learning, project-based experiences, STEM innovation, cybersecurity, robotics, engineering, community partnerships, and real-world problem-solving opportunities that build both character and competence.
This position is designed to ensure every student graduates with the leadership skills, confidence, resilience, and character necessary to become a productive citizen, successful professional, and future leader.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Institution

Demonstrated leadership experience working with youth
-
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
-
Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Meets requirements in UKSACC Reg 145-2
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
-
Florida Teaching Certificate or Eligibility for Certification/County Vocational Certificate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- JROTC Instructor Cadet Command Certificate–this certificate is required to retain employment when the program becomes an NDCC
-
Military, ROTC, JROTC, NDCC, law enforcement, first responder, scouting, or youth leadership experience.

Experience teaching leadership, STEM, engineering, robotics, cybersecurity, or career education.

Background in project-based learning and experiential education.

Experience coordinating student organizations, service-learning initiatives, or leadership development programs.

Ability to establish partnerships with community and industry stakeholders.
