Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners, ensuring they receive high-quality care and education that promotes their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. As a leader in our program, you will collaborate with families and staff to create an engaging, safe, and stimulating classroom experience.
Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers’ needs, incorporating literacy education, early intervention strategies, and hands-on activities
- Lead daily classroom management by organizing engaging lessons, managing behavior effectively, and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure smooth operations and consistent educational standards
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or informal updates
- Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations
- Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate physical education, arts & crafts, and basic math concepts suitable for toddler development levels
- Maintain accurate records of child development progress, standardized testing results when applicable, and attendance logs
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health protocols such as first aid and CPR procedures while fostering social-emotional learning
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting with a focus on toddlers or preschoolers
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is advantageous
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and arts & crafts
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare compliance
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of educators while maintaining a nurturing environment for children
