Join our dynamic healthcare team as an RN/LPN for the Evening Shift (2 PM – 10 PM), Monday through Friday! Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, or hospital environments.
- Perform detailed patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, catheter care, and wound suturing.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information securely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with regulatory standards like HIPAA and long-term care regulations.
- Manage acute pain cases and participate in emergency response procedures such as airway management or first aid when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure clarity in care instructions and updates.
Experience
- Valid RN or LPN license with current state registration and certification.
- Prior experience working with geriatric patients in settings such as skilled nursing facilities or assisted living communities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
- Experience with specialized care areas including Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care or hospice services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical records management.
- Background in acute care environments such as hospitals—including ICU, emergency room, or Level I Trauma Center—is preferred.
- Skills in IV infusion therapy, medication administration, specimen collection/processing, and infection control protocols are essential.
