Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to treatment coordination. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical and dental administrative processes.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
- Verify patient insurance information and explain coverage details clearly.
- Collect and update patient medical histories and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with dental providers to facilitate treatment plans and follow-up appointments.
- Manage patient records with confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and processing payments efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to support administrative functions within a healthcare environment.
- Office experience with proficiency in scheduling software and electronic health records systems.
