Preschool Teacher (Full-Time)
About Us
The Goddard School® in Farmington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are part of a nationally recognized early childhood education program built on a Piaget-based, learning-through-play philosophy that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with CTELDS
- Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that supports all areas of child development
- Use play-based learning to engage and inspire children
- Observe and assess student progress to guide instruction
- Maintain strong classroom management using positive guidance strategies
- Communicate effectively and proactively with families
- Collaborate with team members to support classroom and school goals
- Ensure compliance with all state, local, and Goddard Systems, Inc. requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood best practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to develop creative, engaging lesson plans
- Commitment to professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, and work at a child’s level throughout the day
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy in an active classroom setting
