Server
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Enter orders into the POS system (e.g., Aloha POS) and ensure accuracy
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Provide exceptional guest service, addressing any questions or concerns
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
- Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment
- Handle cash and process payments accurately
Experience:
- Previous experience as a server in a restaurant setting preferred
- Familiarity with OpenTable or other reservation systems is a plus
- Knowledge of food service procedures and standards
- Ability to operate POS systems, such as Aloha POS, effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including kitchen processes and sanitation

Key Responsibilities
- Guest Hospitality: Greet guests with a genuine smile and create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they are seated.
- Menu Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all food and beverage offerings, including daily specials, ingredients, and potential allergens.
- Consultative Selling: Make personalized recommendations, explain preparation techniques, and suggest beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Order Accuracy: Efficiently input orders into the POS system and communicate specific dietary restrictions or modifications clearly to the kitchen.
- Service Timing: Orchestrate the flow of the meal, ensuring drinks, appetizers, and entrées arrive at the appropriate intervals and at the correct temperatures.
- Financial Accountability: Manage guest checks, process payments accurately, and maintain a balanced cash drawer/bank.

- Multitasking: The ability to manage a 4–6 table station simultaneously while maintaining a calm, composed demeanor under pressure.
- Communication: Clear, concise verbal communication skills for interacting with both guests and "Back of House" staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Previous experience with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Clover, or Aloha) is preferred.
- Physical Agility: Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours and safely carry heavy trays of food and glassware.
